What is a WhatsApp link?
A WhatsApp link, also called a click to chat link, is a web address that opens a WhatsApp conversation with a specific phone number. Anyone who taps it goes straight into the chat without saving the number as a contact first. WhatsApp publishes the format as wa.me/<number>, and an optional message can be attached so the chat opens with text already in the box.
