Terms of use
Last updated 30 July 2026
wbotz.link is a free tool operated by ByteWeb that turns a phone number into a short link opening a WhatsApp conversation. Using it means accepting the terms below.
Use the numbers you are entitled to use
Only create links for numbers you own or are authorised to publish. Creating a link that directs strangers to somebody else’s number without their agreement is not permitted, and we will remove such links when we learn of them.
What is not allowed
- Unsolicited bulk messaging, or links whose purpose is to enable it.
- Fraud, phishing, impersonation, or pretending to be a business you are not.
- Content that is illegal where you or your recipients are.
- Harassing, threatening, or abusive messages.
- Automated creation of links outside the published API, or attempts to work around the rate limits.
We may remove any link and block further use of the service, without notice, if we believe these rules are being broken.
Availability
The service is provided as-is and free of charge. We aim to keep it running and links resolving, but we do not promise any particular level of availability, and we may change or discontinue it. Bear that in mind if you are relying on a link commercially, on printed material for instance.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ByteWeb is not liable for lost business, lost messages, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
Relationship to WhatsApp
wbotz.link is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms. It uses the publicly documented click-to-chat link format that WhatsApp makes available to everyone. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner. Your use of WhatsApp itself remains governed by WhatsApp’s own terms.
API use
API access is granted through tokens issued by wbotz. Keep the signing secret private. You are responsible for links created with your token, and we may revoke access if it is used in breach of these terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page reflects the last change. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
